Well honestly she aint because many people do past away after giving birth and stuff...that doesn't mean anything at all....

her sister is very naiive and evil to say that. just because their mother died does not mean that it was any one's fault, so the little girl is not really to be at fault because as amy said, many people dies when or after giving birth, and that is no one's fault.

i really loath the step-mom right now. what is the point to have friends if you can't visit or invite them over? i know she's trying to be all "mothery" and stuff, but she's just doing too much.

Well honestly, the step mother need to get a life for real...treating her step kids like that and give her own child a better life...How would she feel if she past a way and her husband did that to her two kids? For real she need to start learning how to love other children's and treat them as your own child.

I think that the only reason that their big sister is being so nice to the step-mother is because she want to fit in with her and since she's the only girl, she want to get along with the step-mother because she knows that if she don't get along with her, she will be treated bad like her brothers.

Universal Theme: Facing hatred from her family.
"But then Mama died giving birth to you. If you had not been born, Mama would still be alive. She died because of you. You are bad luck."
This story is a good and sad story. This book is about a little girl whom family hates her a lot and only her auntie and grandpa loves her. Her family hates her a lot because after her birth, her mother past away. Everyone just want her to be gone and aways from them. So they send her away to another school and aways from her auntie and grandpa. In the end she won an writing competition, her father feelings change towards her and send her to Europe with her brother for school.
